What We Believe

What we believe is simple and basic: John 3:16 "For God so loved that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him, shall not perish but have eternal life."  Romans 10:9 "That if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved". Jesus said in John 14:6 "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

We believe in the Holy Trinity: God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit.  These three are all one in the same God. We believe God created  the heavens and earth and everything in them and is Lord and Ruler of all.  We believe in the fear of the Lord, which is a deep abiding respect for God, which is the beginning of all wisdom. We believe that Jesus Christ died on a cross as the atonement for the sins of humanity that whoever confesses and believes in Him is saved and will live forever in heaven. This is a freely given gift from our Lord and is called salvation.  We believe God is love. We believe the Bible is the word of God.

If you feel led at any time to give your heart to the Lord or to recommit your heart, below is a prayer entitled "Saving Prayer" given for that purpose.  If you wish, you can speak it out as you read. For new believers also please read the additional notes below the prayer.

Saving Prayer

Our Father in heaven

Hallowed be thy Name

Magnified

Glorified

And Exalted

Be thy Name

Thy kingdom come

Thy will be done

On earth as it is in heaven

Let me walk in your will Father

Let me be pleasing to You

Let me walk in love

Let me love others

Let me be Joyful

Peaceful

Patient

Kind

Generous

And Faithful

Let me choose self control

I choose Light

Instead of darkness

I choose Life

Instead of death

I choose you Jesus

I believe that you died on the cross

To save me from my sins

Then you rose again

In victory over death

I am saved by your love

I am forgiven and redeemed

I walk in Victory, Spirit and Truth

For Truth has a name

And that name is Jesus

For thine is the Kingdom

And the Power

And the Glory

Forever

And ever

Please Note - If you prayed the prayer above for the first time and believe in your heart Jesus died and rose again, you are saved. You are a born-again Christian! Right now, you might or might not feel different. Just know it's not about what you feel but about what Jesus has done for you! In faith know that Jesus now resides inside of you, your sins are forgiven! Do I hear a "Praise the Lord!"
