General FAQs

Please review the most common questions below. Our team updates this page as more questions arise.

When will the Third Temple be constructed?

Currently, there is no construction contract in place. Funds raised will be held by the foundation until the construction phase begins. We fully trust in God's timing.

How will Build the Temple maintain transparency about the funds raised and their usage?

Build the Temple is committed to publishing updates on the amount of money raised. We will provide updates to financial accounts and welcome any donors to review our current financial status to ensure accountability and biblical stewardship.

How is Build the Temple connected to Boneh Israel?

Boneh Israel (literally: “Building Israel”) is a nonprofit organization focused on building up and reviving important Biblical sites, bringing the Bible to life, educating the nations about the past, present and future of Israel, and actively bringing the redemption closer.

Build the Temple focuses on bringing prophecy to life by walking alongside Israel and the Jewish people in fulfilling the biblical mandate to construct a House of Prayer for all nations, known as the Third Temple.

While both organizations are driven by the desire to support Israel and bible prophecy, there is no financial connection between the two. All funding directed to Build the Temple will remain with Build the Temple. These funds will only be used on projects directly related to the building of the Third Temple.

How will Build the Temple ensure funds are used appropriately?

The board of Build the Temple will only release funds to a contractor who is under contract for the temple's construction. The contracting company will need to provide a written proposal and proof of a signed contract to access funds. Other than initial costs(10-20% upfront for the purchase of supplies and permits), funds will be released based on the completion of work and ongoing status reports to the board.

Why has Build the Temple been asked to raise funds if other entities have received donations?

Build the Temple’s primary mission is to fund the construction costs necessary for erecting the building. Currently, there are no dedicated fund specifically for this purpose, which is why Build the Temple was established to address this need. Other entities have different missions related to the completion of the Third Temple, and we encourage you to explore their goals.

Have other entities raised funds for the temple construction?

While we maintain a collaborative relationship with the other entities working toward the shared goals, we cannot speak on their behalf regarding the funds raised or their allocation. We encourage you to reach out to those entities directly for clarification on this matter. We work cooperatively with other entities who share the same goal and we are assured that Build The Temple is the only entity working toward raising money for the construction costs of the Third Temple.

In what ways does Build the Temple differ from the Temple Institute?

Build the Temple seeks to engage Christians who are passionate about Israel and wish to partner with our Jewish brothers and sisters to realize the goal of constructing the temple in our time by raising funds specifically for its construction. We also welcome any Jews who would like to participate in the raising of the funds as we seek to bring a unifying hand between Christians and Jews for a common cause.

Is Build the Temple affiliated with the Temple Institute in Jerusalem?

Build the Temple operates as a separate entity from the Temple Institute in Jerusalem, although we share a common vision of the Third Temple's construction. We aim to collaborate on joint projects as appropriate, such as the Red Heifer project, which was successfully completed by Boneh Israel. However, the priests performing the ceremonies receive their training from the Third Temple Institute.

What overhead costs will be incurred?

Expenses such as legal and accounting fees, as well as advertising, will be part of the foundation's operational costs. All individuals involved in the foundation are volunteers who generously contribute their time, skills, and resources without taking salaries or reimbursement for travel expenses.

How will the funds be allocated?

The construction costs encompass building supplies, foundational work, architectural plans, contractor fees, labor, permits, and any other costs associated with the completion of building the temple, which will house the ceremonial instruments and furnishings required for the priests as outlined in the Torah. It is important to note that the funds raised do not cover the costs of gold, silver, furnishings, instruments, salaries, or travel expenses.

What does ‘Let Your Hands Be Strong’ mean?

The phrase “Let your hands be strong… that the temple might be built” is drawn from a prophetic message in Zechariah 8:9–13. In this powerful passage, God encourages His people with a vision of hope and restoration. It speaks of a future time—the era of the third temple—when the final redemption will be fulfilled. In this context, God calls upon those who hear His voice in these days to take heart and strengthen their hands, for they are invited to play a vital role in bringing His promises to life. This call to action is not only a command but a profound encouragement: to work with faith, courage, and unwavering purpose, knowing that their efforts are part of a divine plan.

What is the mission of the organization, Build the Temple?

Our mission is to walk alongside Israel and the Jewish people in fulfilling the biblical mandate to construct a House of Prayer for all nations, known as the Third Temple. Build the Temple is dedicated solely to raising funds for the construction costs associated with this significant project.
